Delete your Dearly account
You can delete your Dearly account yourself, from inside the app, in about a minute. This page describes the same steps, as Google Play requires.
How to delete your account in the app. Open Dearly and go to Profile. Tap "Delete account". Read what will be deleted, tick "I understand", and tap "Confirm with OTP & delete". Enter the one-time code sent to your phone number. Your account is deactivated at once.
What happens next. For 30 days your account is kept, deactivated: you cannot be found or called, and you cannot call. If you log in during those 30 days, Dearly offers to restore your account, and everything comes back exactly as it was. After 30 days your account is deleted permanently.
What is deleted after 30 days. Your profile, name, photo and phone number. Your call history, favourites and blocked list. If you were a listener: your listener profile, voice intro and voice-check result. Your device tokens for notifications. Your sign-in.
What is kept, and why. Records of coin purchases and payments are kept as Indian tax law requires, with your name, phone number and other personal details removed from them. Call and payment records are kept only as long as the law requires, then deleted.
Unused coins and earnings. Unused coins are lost when the account is deleted and are not refundable. Listeners should withdraw their earnings before deleting.
If you cannot use the app. Write to oryzenproductions@gmail.com from the phone number on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will deactivate the account and confirm by reply, and the same 30-day period applies.
